SEC schools do not sell RV tailgate parking the way NFL stadiums do. Texas A&M publishes an "Olsen RV Lot season cost: $1,610" and requires that the spot "must be occupied by a recognized recreational vehicle for at least 4 out of the 7 home games." That is a season commitment with an attendance condition, not a game ticket.
Why this page covers two schools properly rather than sixteen vaguely
An earlier version of this page claimed to cover RV policies at all sixteen SEC schools. It did so without citing a single one of them, and the details were not transcribed from any university.
What follows is LSU and Texas A&M, read from their own athletics pages on September 7, 2026 and quoted. For the other fourteen schools we would be guessing, so we say so and point you at the athletics department instead.
The $1,610 season, and the arithmetic that follows
Texas A&M's Olsen RV Lot sits on Olsen Boulevard at Blue Bell Park, on the corner of Olsen Boulevard and George Bush Drive. The published season cost is $1,610, and the lot opens at "12 p.m. the day before the game" and closes at "12 p.m. the day after the game."
Set that against the attendance requirement and a real per-game figure appears. Across all seven home games, $1,610 works out at roughly $230 a game. Attend only the four the eligibility rule requires and the same $1,610 is about $403 a game. The price does not change; what changes is how much of it you actually use.
What the four-game rule really costs
A group that buys the season intending to attend two marquee games is not just paying $805 a game. It also loses eligibility, because the spot has to be occupied by a recognised recreational vehicle for at least four of the seven. So a light-use plan costs the most per game and forfeits the spot for next season. Decide honestly how many games the group will really travel to before committing.
One operational detail worth catching early: parking passes must be digital and added to a mobile wallet before arrival, and Texas A&M states that "Printed versions and screenshots will not be accepted for entry." A screenshot is the thing most people default to when a phone is low on signal outside a stadium.
LSU opens its lots on three different schedules
LSU does not open its motor home lots at once, which matters if your group is arriving in convoy and expects to park together.

Departure is uniform: "Motor homes must vacate the LSU campus by noon the day following games." So the longest legal stay, in Lot 413 from Thursday evening, is roughly three nights, and the shortest is under two.
Lot 413 is also the one LSU lists as available on a single-game basis, which makes it the answer for anyone who wants one weekend rather than a season. It is also the earliest to open and, being the earliest, the one where arrival timing matters most.
LSU wants an exhaust stack above your roof
This is the rule most likely to catch a rented coach. LSU states that "Gas-powered generators must use an exhaust stack extending above the camper roof." Generators should also be positioned away from neighbouring tailgates where possible, and any generator creating excessive noise will be required to be turned off.
A standard rental motorhome does not have a roof-height generator exhaust. The genset exhausts at the side, low down, which is exactly the configuration this rule is written against.
And there is no fallback
LSU separately states that "LSU utility usage is not permitted," so you cannot plug into campus power instead. A gas-powered generator that does not meet the exhaust rule leaves you with no legal power source at all, in Baton Rouge, in September. Ask the rental company about the generator exhaust configuration before you book, and get the answer in writing.
Your tanks have to last the whole weekend
LSU prohibits dumping outright: "No dumping of camper waste tanks" and "No dumping cooking oils or charcoal." With campus utilities also off limits, there is no water to top up from and nowhere to empty to.
For a Thursday-evening arrival in Lot 413 through to noon Sunday, that is three nights of tank capacity for however many people are sleeping in the unit, with no relief on site. Tank size is therefore a booking specification rather than a detail, in the same way it is at Daytona.
Two smaller LSU rules worth packing for: cooking equipment must not exceed the size of a 55-gallon drum, and quiet hours run from midnight on Friday and from 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.
What most people get wrong: assuming SEC works like the NFL
The structural difference is the commitment. NFL venues sell RV parking per game, with the constraint sitting in the arrival and departure window. SEC schools, at least the two we read, sell a season position, sometimes with a condition attached to how often you use it.
That changes who should buy it. A season lot is a good purchase for a group that genuinely travels to most home games and a poor one for a group chasing a single rivalry weekend. For the latter, look for whatever single-game option exists, such as LSU's Lot 413, rather than buying a season and using a fraction of it.
The other fourteen schools
We are not going to summarise them from memory. RV policies at the remaining SEC schools were not published on the athletics pages we were able to read, and reproducing an unsourced summary of sixteen schools is precisely what made the earlier version of this page worthless.
The pattern from LSU and Texas A&M is a reasonable starting hypothesis for the rest: expect a season product, an arrival window opening the day before, a departure deadline around noon the day after, and restrictions on generators and dumping. Then confirm all of it with the specific athletics department, because the details that bite are the ones that vary.

Plan it in this order
- Confirm you can actually get a spot. At some schools that means a season permit, not a game purchase.
- Count how many home games the group will genuinely attend before committing to a season.
- Check the attendance condition. Texas A&M requires occupancy at 4 of 7 home games.
- Find the specific lot's opening time. LSU staggers across Thursday and Friday.
- Confirm the generator configuration against the school's rule, and check whether campus power is permitted at all.
- Size tanks for the full stay, since dumping on campus may be prohibited.
- Load the parking pass into a mobile wallet in advance where digital-only rules apply.
