COTA publishes its RV rules in unusual detail, and two of them work together to decide your unit before you have looked at a single floorplan: the site is a published dimension, and anything you tow has to live inside it.

The tow vehicle rule is the whole specification
COTA states three things that combine into one hard constraint. "Only one (1) tow vehicle is permitted per space." "Any tow/support vehicle must be parked within your designated RV space." And parking in a drive lane or fire lane "is strictly prohibited and could result in tow, fines, or future restrictions to camping."
There is no overflow. Whatever you bring has to fit inside 50 feet at Premium or 40 feet at Lot N, coach and car together.
The arithmetic to run before booking
A 32-foot Class C plus a 13-foot towed car is 45 feet. That does not fit a 40-foot Lot N site, and it fits Premium with five feet spare. A 40-foot coach plus any tow exceeds both. If you need a vehicle on site at COTA, the site product decides the coach, not the other way round, and Premium was showing sold out when we checked.
Awnings are subject to the same envelope: COTA permits awnings attached to your RV "provided it fits inside your assigned space." So does anything else you set up, since "Nothing within the assigned space can block the sight lines of other spaces."
A liability insurance requirement most renters have never been asked for
This is the rule we have not seen published at any other venue in this project. COTA states: "RVs operating on the COTA Property must have liability insurance coverage. Proof of insurance must be made available when requested by COTA or its authorized agents."
For an owned coach that is a glovebox document. For a rented one it is the rental company's policy, and it is not something most renters are handed as a matter of course.
Ask for it in writing before you travel
Request a certificate or evidence of liability coverage from whoever supplies the unit, and carry it. It costs an email in advance and it is the sort of thing that cannot be produced at 7am at a gate in Austin. We supply it as standard for COTA work for exactly this reason.
The generator rule is narrower than it first reads
COTA enforces Quiet Hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and the wording matters: "External generators are not permitted during Quiet Hours."
That is a narrower restriction than the blanket overnight bans we found elsewhere. Talladega, for comparison, states that "SPEAKERS AND GENERATORS MUST BE TURNED OFF DURING QUIET TIME" without qualifying the type. COTA names external generators specifically.
We are not going to read that distinction too generously on your behalf. What is unambiguous is the separate exhaust requirement: "Vehicle and generator exhaust must be expelled away from other campsites." If overnight power matters to your plan at Lot N, where there are no hookups, put the question to COTA directly and get the answer for your specific unit.
Lot N is dry, and the services are priced

A dry site over a four-night access window means you are buying both ends of the water cycle: a fill at $60 and a pump-out at $55 each time round. Size the tanks against your headcount and the Thursday-to-Monday window so that number stays in single figures rather than becoming a daily errand.
What most people get wrong: the vehicles COTA will not take at all
COTA rules out several of the workarounds people reach for when they need to move equipment or sleep extra crew. "Box trucks, cargo trucks, rental trucks, and enclosed hauling trucks are not allowed." "Tractor-trailer rigs are not permitted in the COTA RV Parks." And "All RVs must be self-contained."
Two more that catch production and hospitality setups specifically. "Scaffolding of any kind is not permitted," ladders and platforms must be permanently attached to vehicles, and "No platforms more than 12 inches above the roofline are allowed." So a raised viewing deck is out. EZ-Up tents under 400 square feet are permitted if securely attached to the ground, but COTA "reserves the right to have tents taken down if wind exceeds 15 MPH."
And a small one worth knowing: the speed limit in the COTA RV Parks is 7 miles per hour, strictly enforced, and RVs may not be washed or worked on within the parks.

Book it in this order
- Decide whether you need a vehicle on site. If yes, the site dimension caps coach plus tow together.
- Measure the combination against 50 feet for Premium or 40 feet for Lot N.
- Get proof of liability insurance for the unit from the supplier, in writing, before travel.
- If you are at Lot N, budget $60 fills and $55 pump-outs and size tanks to keep the count down.
- Buy race admission separately for every person at the campsite.
- Check nothing you plan to bring is on the prohibited vehicle list, including rental box trucks.
- Confirm overnight generator arrangements with COTA if you are dry camping.
