The same grass, three weeks apart, opposite rules
Stagecoach 2027 runs April 23 to 25 at the Empire Polo Club. Coachella 2027 runs at the same venue on April 9 to 11 and April 16 to 18. Two weeks between them, one field, and the RV policies could not be further apart.
Coachella's camping page states "NO RV/Motorhome camping. Passenger cars, trucks or vans only." Stagecoach runs a dedicated Resort where "All RV Sites are powered and service both 50amp and 30amp RVs," on 20 by 50 foot sites, with free showers, toilets, water refill stations, food vendors, a general store, charging stations and 24-hour medical and security.
Why this matters when you are reading advice
Guidance about "RV camping at the Polo Club" is correct for one of these festivals and impossible for the other. Forum posts, rental listings and blog guides routinely blur them because the venue is the same. Check which event any advice is actually describing before you act on it, including this page.
Delivery is allowed, with one condition that governs your schedule
Stagecoach is the most delivery-friendly festival in our comparison, and it is still conditional. The requirement is that "the person whose name is on The Resort site order must be present at check-in," wearing festival and Resort wristbands. The RV enters the tollbooth on its own, and additional vehicles are prohibited during the check-in process.
Read that as a scheduling constraint rather than a paperwork one. The coach and the named buyer have to converge at the gate at the same time, which means the delivery window is set by whoever bought the site, not by the driver's availability.

"There will be no early access"
Stagecoach states it plainly. Thursday is the long day, running to 2am; every day after closes at 8pm or earlier. A plan that has the coach arriving Wednesday to be set up in advance does not work here, and neither does a delivery timed for the driver's convenience if the named buyer is not there yet.
Factory-installed generators only
Stagecoach permits "only generators that have been factory installed on your RV. No modification. No personal fabrications. No aftermarket installs," and prohibits portable generators outright. Campfires are prohibited too.
In practice this matters less here than almost anywhere else, because every site is powered. The generator rule is really about noise and exhaust rather than power: Stagecoach notes you may be required to shut yours down if the exhaust affects neighbours, and suggests considering an exhaust diverter.
It does still matter for the unit you choose. A rental coach with an aftermarket or owner-fitted generator is non-compliant on paper even if it never gets started, so confirm the generator is factory-installed when you book.
One unit per site, and it has to be self-contained
The Resort sets a "Limit of one (1) livable, self-contained space (RV, Trailer, or Motorhome) per RV site," and defines self-contained as having a functional toilet, water tank system and sleeping area.
So a group of eight cannot split across a coach and a second smaller unit on one site, and a stripped-out van or a unit with a non-functioning toilet does not qualify. The eight-person limit and the one-unit limit work together: eight people, one self-contained vehicle, eight wristbands.
Services are priced, and explicitly not guaranteed

Stagecoach describes these trucks as roaming, not guaranteed, and served first-come. That is unusually honest and worth taking at face value: the price is fixed, the availability is not.
Request early, and size the tank for a three-day miss
A $75 pump-out you cannot get on Saturday afternoon is worth nothing. Because the service is explicitly first-come and not guaranteed, the safe plan is a unit whose tanks carry the whole three-day festival for your headcount, with the pump-out as insurance rather than as the plan. Free water refill stations and showers on site take some pressure off the fresh tank, which helps.
What most people get wrong: assuming camping includes the festival
The Resort sells camping only. Festival admission is a separate purchase, and the Resort wristbands are distinct from the festival wristband. The delivery rule reinforces this: the named buyer has to be at check-in wearing both.
That is the same structure as Camp EDC and the same trap. Count the purchases before you count the beds: one Resort site, up to eight people, and eight separate festival passes.

- Confirm you are planning for Stagecoach and not Coachella. The venue is shared; the policies are not.
- Buy the Resort site, then buy a festival pass for every person separately.
- Decide who the named buyer is and when they arrive, because delivery hinges on them being at check-in.
- Check the coach fits 20 by 50 feet and that its generator is factory-installed.
- Confirm it qualifies as self-contained: functional toilet, water tank system, sleeping area.
- Size tanks for three days at your headcount, treating the $75 pump-out as insurance.
- Plan arrival inside the published windows. There is no early access.
